About the Author
Taylor Samuel Lyen, Ed.D., earned master degrees in legal studies and public school administration, later completing a doctorate in leadership and organization. A former teacher, principal, director of special education, and deputy superintendent of schools, Dr. Lyen is well qualified to write on how organizations, including the family and schools, enhance and obstruct children?s growth and development.
