About the Author
David Joe Richardson was born in Hawaii and currently lives in Germany with his wife Victoria, and three daughters, Emma, Claire, and Rose.
In 1978, while studying at the University of Montevallo, he was a founding member of the punk rock band "The Tongues." After a brief, but undistinguished stint in the U.S. Air Force, he studied at the University of Hawaii and did field research in the South Pacific. He later attempted to meld his experiences with the John Frum Cargo Cult into a management methodology in an unsuccessful bid for a PhD at the Queen's University, Belfast. He played electric violin and sang with "Eriko and Friends" and "Neighbors Blues Band" during the halcyon days of the "Electric Uzu," the epicenter of the late-1990's improvisational Blues scene of Fussa City, Japan. His lyrical inspiration is drawn in large part from his days as a fruit picker and farm worker in Europe and travels in East Asia and the South Seas.
