About the Author

I have been a story teller, both verbally and in print, most of my life. I was the feature editor for my high school newspaper. I graduated with a degree in Psychology at Oberlin College in Ohio and a Master's in Counseling at Towson University in Towson, Md. As a Marriage and Family Therapist and college instructor, I have been a part of people's inspirational journeys. For years, I traveled with Dr. Sid Wolf giving Communication Skills workshops. As a world travelor, I have met many interesting people and delight in sharing them with you. For several years, my people interviews were published in the Paradise Valley Independent newspaper. Two years ago I wrote a children's story that was scripted and produced as a Christmas play. I was recently selected for inclusion in the 2009-2010 edition of Montclair Publishing's "Who's Who in North America." Ever since I can remember, I have been on a spiritual journey that has taken me into studying energy, quantum physics and healing. I am currently a member of the Board of Trustees at Unity Prescott. We have a hands on healing ministry there. Since retirement as a therapist, I have been a member of the Prescott Professional Writers as well as several critique groups. There I have been encouraged to publish my first person essays. Recently one of my stories was accepted for publication in a national magazine. John and I have been married for thirty three years. I am the mother of four, step-mother of two and grandmother of eleven. My hobbies include traveling, cooking and I have combined them to travel to Italy and France for cooking adventures. I also love photography and most of the photos in the book are mine. My granddaughter, Eva, is an art stdent and I am proud that she drew the cover of this book. I have servd as a past President of the local Alzheimer's Adult Services Board. We live in the mountains of sunny Prescott, Arizona, where we have a great view of Thmb Butte. Previously I have lived in Baltimore, Maryland, Connellsville and Johnstown, Pa., and most recently Paradise Valley, Arizona. We spend a lot of time visiting childre and grandchildren, who are scattered across the country. Friends are important to me, so I keep in touch. I still maintain an advisory position in the Graduate Counseling and Mental Healh Department of Prescott College. Every Wednesday evening I join others to offer Sacred Healing after our Healing/ Prayer Service. Occasionally I give a talk at this service based upon my reading of new spiritual research. I read constantly. I enjoy antiques and my Japanese cloisonne collection. We are in a gourmet dinner group and enjoy cooking together. Otherwise, you can find us playing with our dog, Katie.
