“The Road”
I’m on a one way street
A road to no where
One with no off ramps
And no pit stops along the way
The speed limits vary
As you go town to town
I can’t ask directions
Because I don’t know where I am going
Maybe I’m lost
Or just going in circles
There’s a sign up ahead
But it’s blank
I don’t know where I’m at
But I crossed a lot of bridges to get here
There’s a fork in the road up ahead
Which way should I go?
I wish I had someone to ask
But one of the rules of the road
Is you have to do it alone

About the Book
This book of poetry I wrote while I was in high school. I would carry around a purple notebook and write in it. I would write my thoughts, ideas, how I was feeling. I never set out to write poems its just something that seemed to happen and before I knew it my notebook was filled. Since then I have written a lot of poems. When I decided to publish my work I figured I should start at the beginning.
About the Author
This book of poetry I wrote between my freshman year of high school and my freshman year of college. It was a way for me to try to express myself, my thoughts and my feelings.
