Thorns keep growing,
Stem keeps turning golden brown as
Scents get stronger,
Leaves turn greener,
And petals gravitate more toward the ground.
Thorns keep growing,
Stem keeps growing steadier on the ground as
Aging ever more powerful, leaves fragrance of a rose,
More beautiful with hope to not get cut and put into a vase,
At someone else's mercy.
