Neither of us liked living in Washington, D.C. and we decided to move to Vermont where I was from. I worked for the State of Vermont for twelve years then moved to New Hampshire. I was a department supervisor for a woolen mill until they went out of business. I then took a position as a director for the local paper mill where I retired. My wife and I decided to spend out retirement years in Chapel Hill, TN, the town she grew up in. I couldn’t stand being retired so I accepted a position in the school system. Born and raised in New England, I left home after high school to attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I completed my Bachelors of Science degree, in Civil Engineering, 5 years later. I met my husband during my last year of undergraduate studies and we were married a short time later. Once we were married, I began working on my Masters of Science degree while working full time as a civil engineer. I currently work as an engineer and writing poems and short stories is a hobby of mine.
