You would not believe me if I told you I wrote about Asa and that he really exists. He came for Larry. I know he did. You knew about Susie all the time, didn’t you, Asa? And that’s why, on the mountain, you said ‘children’ instead of child. I will tell Nick and he will believe me, but you wouldn’t believe me, Dad. You are such a realist. You would never believe me.”

About the Author

Texas born, Laura Gower Jackson was educated in Texas and Wisconsin Schools in Music and Art. Her travels in Europe and Central America offered material for painting and writing stories, the desire of her heart. The Velvet Box in the Attic, while it is fiction, mirrors some of her own experiences.
