Little Girl Lost, Strong Woman Found

All of my trauma revolved around drugs and alcohol, Some when I was older and some when I was small. When I grew up I had one of two paths to choose, One I would succeed, the other I would lose. I chose to succeed and hard work was needed, But in the end I ultimately succeeded. In one’s life the path you choose is key, One will keep you a prisoner, the other will set you free. You see, I was not the one using the drugs and alcohol when the trauma happened to me, I was just a victim in a place I should never be. If I had felt sorry for myself and gave up the will to fight and live, I would have never realized the gift I had to give. My gift is the knowledge of words to give strength to survivors and victims of abuse, That is where I found the most rewarding gift and purpose in life – my ultimate use. So please get help but stay strong and survive, Thank god for everything good and bad – you can have the strength to be great and the will to stay alive! I had to come out and be with you, It was so special, so exciting and new. The love that we share will never be lost, It came at a high price but it was worth the cost. Never changed - I’ve always remained the same, I will never feel any shame. True love is what you have to find, To make life special - one of a kind. Many don’t understand so they put down what they don’t know, But my love for you I will always show. Don’t ever forget that you are the one, Our lives together have just begun. Always remember I love you with all of my heart, It will be like that in the end as it was from the start. Follow your heart and let it lead the way, Your happiness is what is important at the end of the day. No one can tell you what makes you happy or how to feel, Just don’t mask it – keep it real. How you feel is what is in your heart and soul, You are the only one to reach that goal. If you believe in yourself that is all you can do, Others will follow and believe in you too. Hold on tight and don’t ever let go, You are the only one that has to know. Stand tall – don’t ever lose ground, Don’t look back – don’t turn around. Keep moving on to a brighter day, It is only one step away. Enhance your live, your body and soul, You are in charge of your future and your goal. No one can make your life what it is – only you, All you can take is another’s point of view. You control the path you take in life, no one else will, You can make it sad or an exciting thrill. Hold on to the reins of life and choose your path well, If not, you could be living a life that can resemble Hell. Make the better choice for your self – don’t make a mistake you will regret, In the end it is up to you how you live your life and what you get.
