(Denouement excerpted from short fiction piece, "Redress," found in Scotty V. Caspers UTAH! Selected Short Fiction) ... I will never forget what happened next as it headed for the Virgin River. The adventure was about to reach a conclusion, so scrotum and I jumped out of the Ford and ran to the edge of the river. We wanted to be right up there to see it take the plunge. The big Cat sailed off a fifty-foot embankment, and went nose down with the wheat coming off it in streamers that sort of looked like the contrail coming off an airliner. It landed in the Virgin River, kersplash, and the water snuffed out the engine. When the dust, smoke, and water spray settled, all was left was the back end of the D8 Cat sticking up out of the water. It sort of looked like it had gone bobbing for apples. "Outta sight, man," Scrotum said ....

This is an anthology set in Utah. It is peopled with Utah's redman, the poor, the disenfranchised, the religious, and the sexually liberated. About the Author
Scotty V. Casper is currently a Fairbanks, Alaska,resident. But he was born and raised in Heber City, Utah. He has two BA degrees: English Literature, Brigham Young University, 1971; and journalism, University of Alaska, Fairbanks, 1982. Scotty has written four books in all, two of which are on sale online: "Marshaling the Rails," and "Cardinal Sin, Tales of Alaska, War, and More."
