GOD’S PLAN DELAYED
You do not want to have God’s plan delayed or denied for your life. Perhaps many married people have missed God’s plan for their lives. Did she really say that? Yes! Some married couples have heard themselves and not God. This is quite obvious in the number of divorces today, even among Christian leaders. We should not kill someone who feels like they are already dead. Many who feel dead are those who have made relationship mistakes. They must be taught so that their history does not repeat itself with unhealthy relationship patterns.
MERCY AND GRACE
Mercy and grace are extended because it can happen to anyone who is alive and breathing. What is IT? The IT are unwise decisions. Here are what appear to be common patterns. These couples were unsaved; God does not join sinners together. They were Christian, but married a non-Christian or someone who didn’t fit the plan of God for their life. Last, they perhaps married before God’s timing; though perhaps in the future this could have been the right person. If a man and woman decide to get married then they can not just get a divorce and base it upon the reasons that I have just mentioned. No, one must be responsible, learn and grow from personal choices.
CHALLENGES
Even if you have married the right person because of your humanity there will be challenges. We do thank God for his grace in spite of our selfishness and lack of knowledge. HE can help you if you are in a troubled marriage. Seek godly Christian counselors in your local church or those referred to you by the church. Believe me; marriage is not to be belittled because it is a precious covenant from God. You should be aware of this. Although I am not claiming to be an expert, my knowledge comes from communicating with married and divorced men and women, singles, wise observation, personal experience, research, and most importantly the word of God. Plans fail for a lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed. (Proverbs 15.22)
GOD’S WAY
On the other hand, we as singles need to find out how to love God’s way before we marry. As far as knowing how to love, many married couples could benefit from this book as well. I feel that I am qualified to speak on this subject, because I have always been single and have learned through experience how to love by the Holy Spirit loving me. And I must say that each day God is revealing more to my singleness and HIS love.
SENSITIVE SINGLE
Nevertheless, I feel that because I have always been single I can be more sensitive to the needs of other singles. In the past, I also established an interdenominational singles ministry which brought together singles from various denominational and non-denominational churches. It is my joy to teach about experiencing intimacy and fellowship with the Holy Spirit and loving outwardly God’s way. What is God's way? His way is agape style loving, which is primarily what this book is about.
