About the Author

DECHELE M. BYRD has been an award winning educator for over 12 years as a teacher, Dean of Students, and administrator with the Los Angeles Unified School District. As an educator she has work countless hours assisting students and their families providing them ways to reach their maximum potential. Her experiences throughout K-12 public education has given her a gift to work with others to find the success that each student deserves. This book is filled with the same tools and techniques she has offered students who have gone on to graduate from college and beyond. She is a graduate from Loyola Marymount University and holds a master's degree in public administration from Pepperdine University. She lives in Southern California with her hig-energy daughter.
