Remember the teeter-totter that was one of your favorite playground rides? Once you played on it for awhile you figured out that you needed the same weight on both sides to leave your feet dangling in the breeze.

Placing control back in your life starts with one important ingredient, you. Do you have negative thoughts, make negative comments. Acting on negative impulses will give us negative responses. Sometimes we damage our reputation, lose the respect of others, push friends away and suffer defeat at the hands of negative thoughts. Discovering your fears and weaknesses will help you become aware of why you sometimes hold a negative perspective on life. Changing your perspective to thinking positive, defeating the stress that imprisons you and learning relaxation skills that can facilitate mental and physical health can stabilize your well-being. ‘Me’ time is part of our balancing strategy - this is the time to Stop and relax, reflect, plan, and regain perspective over our day-to-day routines. To some this may come effortlessly, to others such as perfectionists or overachievers this may be a struggle to be learned.
