My Heart’s Message
My ears embrace your voice
As my heart reveals this choice
My eyes see straight to your inner core
As my hands hold onto yours
My steps are right in sync
With the way I feel and think
As I bypass all the others and walk straight to you
I see no one else ~ but you ~ my whole life through
I feel the deepest connection
And the need to show you my gentlest affection
My arms, they will softly embrace
Because you fit so perfectly into all my space
I am the comfort and stability that will forever remain
This is one more promise you deserve and gain
I am absolutely devoted and true
When I share this, My Heart’s Message, with you
Though some feelings I cannot begin to describe
Because the meaning is only understood between you and I
But one more thing I will deeply say
Is that “only you” could ever, make me feel this way.

I Saw Sense That Day...
I saw Sense that day,
And it didn’t look like I thought it would.
We met, and it began to walk with me ~
It showed me things I thought I’d never see
It took me places I thought I’d never be
I was free, just like the horizon,
Whose arms reach far beyond the sea.
I could see the sun rise again.
The very thing I learned that day was that “I,”
Was the reason I was being caged
I had eyes but still could not see,
Not the way it was meant to be
If something looked different from what I thought it should
I would turn and walk away,
Because I could
Instead of taking the time to let it talk to me
Even if it had no lips to speak, just like a creek
I realize now ~ I wasn’t listening...
When so many times He was trying to hand me the key.
Thank you Lord for helping me to see ~
That I am here for You and not for me.
I could waste this time wishing I’d met Sense before
But now I know I did ~
It just came back to visit once more
This time knocking just as loud as before
The difference is, I was actually home to answer the door.
By home I mean this spirit you’ve given me
Instead of out following other paths
Just to please my family, friends,
Or neighbors that live next to me
And stumbling to feel complete...
Another thing you’ve helped me see
Is sometimes I’d move and should’ve lived across the street
I know now I don’t have to miss the mark
I believe so true ~ You, Lord Jesus, ARE the place to start.
You have made my life like a piece of art
Abstract as it could be ~
It is so beautiful~
It is a masterpiece.
As this was also left unseen
Until I listened to You instead of me
I have always been your instrument Lord
It’s just that I was a piano... .. ... .with some broken keys
Thank you so much for helping me to be restored
And setting me free~
To play once more...

With the slightest touch
The window opened
To the future
Of life and love
From the room

She’d never leave

Until she saw it ~
From where she was sitting
And could feel the breeze
~ Breathing with her ~

A Life-Long Date
I love to take you out
Or take you in
To a place you’ve never been
Where love doesn’t scream or shout
But leaves the window open
To let the sunshine and fresh air in
Filling the room with
Fun and conversation
All hours of the day and night
Leaving surprise invitations
To yet another special occasion
Of you nestled in my arms
Or soaring in my sight
Like you are tonight
Sharing the sacred music of the moment
Seeing your face light up again
Like the candles swaying with us
In a way that never ends
You are my light, my wind, and my favorite… station
Just like you’ll always be, and have always been…
