About the Book

Nikolis McQuaige (NikkiMac) is forty years old, single, female, and a Christian. Like many of us, she has a colorful history, but, she knows that her sins were forgiven when she came to Christ ten years ago. Although she’s determined to live a faithful Christian life, Nikolis experiences a tug-of-war between the flesh and the spirit. Sometimes, she doesn’t measure up to what God expects of her, but, she gets right back up when she falls. Over time, she may realize that faithful Christian living is not achieved by willpower alone, but by a dependence upon God.

Along the way, you’ll meet some of the warm, spirited, and often humorous members of the church where she worships. Its urban neighborhood provides soulsaving challenges to the church, but, the faithful members must press on.

About the Author

Sylvia Brown-Roberts was added to the church by age twelve and has been actively involved with the congregation for more than forty years. She is a recently retired teacher. Sylvia especially enjoys reading, writing, children, family, and friends. She lives in Trenton, New Jersey with her husband, Anthony.
