A bit wacky, a little strung out and fussy, a little jealous, tattooed here and there, but all in all very adapted and congenial. In short, a fine group! Not nearly as green eyed as you might expect. Conversation is a menu item. They know I haven't much money. I give it all to them. But it seems honesty merits special treatment. It is a tonic, an ointment for loneliness, even if only temporary, this gazing at all the lovelies. A supreme pastime, indulged in every so often. Something not unrelated to a dog chasing his tail. Around we go. Around and around. We enter thrice weekly, laughing, in good spirits. Within minutes a couple temptresses have plopped themselves down on our contented laps and we are sipping drinks and exchanging pleasantries. It is all absurd of course, but the smell of food is sometimes better than the meal itself. The imagination grills it to perfection.”
