About the Book
Lose yourself in this compelling love story, which unfolds during the magically memorable summer of ’66 in Western New York. Todd is in love with Jessi, who’s in love with life. Todd—a seventeen-year-old rock drummer—has the hormones that come with his age and all the temptations that come with his rock-and-roll night life. Jessi—a pretty fifteen-year-old flirt—has a promise not to kiss until she’s sixteen.
Although Todd is determined to make Jessi his girlfriend, he’s on the road each week with his kick-ass band. Jessi, meanwhile, is happy to be playing the field, and she’s very good at it. Todd will never win the heart of the girl he loves if he can’t win the war of conflicting desires that’s raging in his own heart.
Are you ready to hop on this roller coaster of emotion and adventure as it twists and turns through the tales of a bar-band drummer? Climb into the seat next to Todd and hold on as he struggles to hold out for the brass ring. In Jessi’s world of miracles, Todd’s heart and soul take a ride that could change his life forever.
