The story opens with the sudden disappearance of the Pope Victor III from the papal apartments and then slides backwards fifty-seven years to the year 1030 AD, and the birth of a son. Shimon Ha Godal, Rabbi of Mainz on the Rhine, has plans for his son, whom he has named Elhanan Na’Halato (God is gracious to his heritage), but fate is not on Rabbi Godal’s side. Snatched from his sickbed, Elhanan is spirited away by a devout Christian household servant. Mad with grief, Rabbi Godal abandons his home and synagogue in search of his son—a search that will consume his life and ends when he confronts the unthinkable, the impossible, his lost son is none other that the Bishop of Rome, Pope Victor III.

About the Author
Isaac Assor has spent nearly twenty years gathering the elements that he introduced in his book, THE LOST THRONE. During his time in Hollywood he developed quite a few friendships with movie producers and artists, which led him to write the story of Pope Victor III as a screenplay in the first instance. Isaac has an innate talent for recounting stories of times past. He currently lives in Florida and spends most of his time traveling to Israel and across North America to visit with friends and family. He does not reveal much of himself, but in his writing, his search for the truth becomes apparent to the reader.
