About the Book
Do you sometimes wonder why you are here, and why God has placed the things, people, and circumstances in our lives as He has done? The Creator is trying to get our attention and desires that we would seek fellowship with Him and bring Glory to His Name. Our God is a God of infinite variety in all things. This book contains poems written on many different subjects, and in many different formats. My desire is that the reader will be able to identify with one or more of the poems, and will take time to ponder the spiritual truths shared here. Hopefully this will lead to renewed thoughts toward their Creator, Who loves them and is wanting to talk to their hearts. God alone deserves all the credit for inspiring me to pen these expressions of His handiwork and of His Love.
About the Author
Art Ball was born in Vermont. He became born-again in Arizona during his tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force. He is currently a career employee of the U.S. Postal Service. Shortly after the tragic events of 9-11-01, God began to open Mr. Ball’s eyes to how God was guiding people, events, and objects around him. He felt compelled to write about these things in the medium of poetry as the Holy Spirit gave him the rhyming words. Mr. Ball’s style has been compared to a cross between Robert Frost (who wrote about everyday objects and occurrences) and Aesop’s Fables which provided a moral teaching with each story. Each of these poems has a Biblically-based moral theme to inspire the reader to reflect upon God Almighty. Mr. Ball uses the letters H.S.L.P. after his name in his poetic endeavors. They stand for Holy Spirit Led Poet since he believes that all the inspiration for his works—and the words to express that inspiration-- come directly from the Holy Spirit of Almighty God.—the third Person of the Blessed Trinity. Th e Holy Spirit is attempting to speak to each of us every day, but most of us are too busy with the noise of our daily lives to take the time to listen to Him.
