About the Book
Enjoy some family and children’s vignettes that you wished you had remembered to write down. Let this collection stir your memory into stating, “Oh, I wish I had taken the time to write that down.”
Life’s Vignettes taps our memories from early childhood through adulthood. It touches on interesting incidents occurring in homes, work and Army. It stimulates the thought that “I could do the same thing!”
About the Author
As the father of a family of eight, living in southern California, consisting of a wife, two sons and four daughters, I recognized early on that I should be documenting many of the cute little family vignettes of daily humor occurring around me. But time and the demands of parenthood just didn’t support this task. With the advent of the Word Processor, and retirement from forty-one years in aerospace engineering and procurement-time became less of a constraint, and made it possible to share these gems of humor with others. So, one day early in the 1980s, I began collecting little vignettes about humorous family incidents, Army service, significant milestones in my life, humble attempts at poetry and some family statistics. Some of the poetry is original, some of the poetry are children jingles that were learned at 10 years of age, authors unknown.
