About the Book
In the novella Detours, Brandon and Rose take a week getaway vacation to Hawaii in the hope of reviving their twenty-year marriage. However, Brandon has an old flame in Honolulu that must be dealt with, a woman that ignites the passion in him that is lacking in his marriage. Rose doesn't know about Brandon's passion for his first love, but has a secretive problem of her own.
The following seven days will determine the fate of their marriage. They both know infidelity is wrong, but will they be able to control their passions, or will they resign to what seems to be the inevitable?
Also included are five diverse short stories involving unpredictable characters, conflicting relationships, and an occasional twist. Each story contains struggles among opposing forces and characters, and builds to a climax.
About the Author
Neil Stipp is a music teacher, organist, and published composer. He wrote his dissertation on Mozart and received his doctorate in organ performance from UCLA. His articles have been published by The American Organist. A native southern Californian, this book represents his first published work of fiction.
