LTC (Ret) John Gross was a captain Ranger instructor while Tucker was the commander of the Florida Phase of Ranger School. He provides stories about Tucker as a commander, mentor, and friend.
About the Author
Lieutenant Colonel James M. Tucker is a legend in the U.S. Army Ranger Community, and was selected as a Distinguished Member of the Ranger Training Brigade, Ranger Hall of Fame. During his 22-year army career, he was an Infantry company commander, a decorated, combat-wounded veteran of the First Infantry Division in Vietnam, commander of the Florida Phase of Ranger school, a battalion commander, and an advisor to the Saudi Arabian army. His is a story of sacrifice, heroism, moral courage, and tenacity. This book is a story of a dedicated soldier and family man who wishes to pass to his daughter the story of his amazing career. It is also the story of the love and bonding between combat soldiers. He now lives in Fort Walton Beach, Florida where he owns a marina.
