About the Book
Three children suffer abuse after they are taken from their Wendel Street homes. Two of the children, Ruth and her elder brother, Larry, are put into the foster care system, and while being moved from home to home they are treated harshly and often beaten by foster parents. The third child, Sean, starts living in the barn of a rural bordello where he and his foster sister, Norma, work as unpaid servants, then as young adults, Sean and Norma find the body of a prostitute beneath rubble at the rear of the bordello. Neither of them are aware that they are in danger of being the killer’s next victims until a few hours before the killer attacks Norma.
