About the Book

The Book of Right Change, Jeong Yeok 正易, was written by Kim Hang in 1885 who was a great Korean scholar and a master of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. He saw extraordinary symbols of the coming new world in his vision after eighteen years of hard study and meditation. He is said to complete Confucianism teachings, the I Ching, the oldest Chinese philosophy book. Chung, the author of Seeking a New World: A New Philosophy of Confucius and Kim Hang, wrote commentaries to the Book of Right Change in his book. This book will be the first English version of the Book of Right Change that was originlly published in Korea, and that represents a new philosophy of Asia..


About the Author

The author was born in Korea in 1923. He received an MD and PhD from Seoul National University in Korea. He taught medical students at the Catholic Medical School in Seoul, Korea. He came to America in 1962. He received a PhD from the University of Tennessee, and taught medical students at the University of Tennessee Medical School. He was board-certified in pathology in 1970 after finishing residency training in pathology at the University of Tennessee Medical School Hospital. He practiced medicine as a pathologist and laboratory director in United States hospitals. His major medical research that had been initiated in Korea and has been continued in the United States. He developed a mathematical model, a 'probacent'-probability equation that has been internationally used. At his young age, he had unusual precognitive dreams in his life-threatening times in World War II and the Korean War. Dreams helped not only him but also other people in the war. He was awarded by the president of South Korea a presidential citation of merit for contributing to independence of the Republic of Korea in 2008. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Tennessee Medical Association, the College of American Pathologists. He has been studying the Book of Right Change written by Kim Hang,a new Korean philosphy book since his young age. He published scores of articles in American and internationa biomedical journals. He published his first book "Seeking a New World: A New Philosophy of Confucius and Kim Hang" in 2009. He lives with his wife in Nashville, Tennessee.
