About the Book

HAIKU PUNmanship continues in the tradition of my four recent other haiku/pun books. A pun word or expression is embedded in each haiku, that 3-lined Japanese unrhymed verse that has survived since antiquity. These haikus/puins reflect a whole gamut of life experiences and sentiments, touching upon, love, occupations, crime, sex, nature and God knows what ad nauseam. So go ahead, smile, giggle, groan, wince or laugh out loud.

About the Author

Dr. Paul Treatman is a retired New York City superintendent of schools, author of books on professional leadership and retired associate professor of educational administration. He also once served as resident director of an NYU-College of the Virgin Islands Teacher Education Project and educational advisor to the Governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands. He is biographied in the 2008, 2009, 2010 editons of the Marquis Who's Who in America. He also enjoyed his "15 minutes of fame" as a movie extra and bit actor.

After his life and career in New York City, the author settled in a retirement commuity in Monroe Township, New Jersey, where he is active in veterans' organizations (he became a decorated combat medic in WW II), local politics as a Middlesex County Democratic Committeeman; and for sheer fun writes haikus with embedded puns.

He is a widower who has endless love for his two children, four grandchildren, and five greatgrandchildren.
