Mine eyes are bleeding out of the well of my soul,
My prayers are lost in the breeze.
My words stand up on the tip of my tongue as a wilted flower,
My grace is spilt upon my sleeves.
My heart has fallen over and drowned in the mud,
My hands tremble as the crashing of waves on the shore.
My stare has set on the sun in the west,
My pride perches as crumbles on the floor.
My feet are shod with the stench of yesterday,
My hope dissipates as swiftly as the morning fog.
My salvation is nailed to unseen tree,
My last breath whimpers for a forgiving God.
...and then I did.

About the Book
My musings, my notes, my journal, is a collection of receipts of stolen souls imprinted in my mind and branded on my heart.
'Tis the three year journey of spying saints, stalking sinners, copying conversations, mimicking masks, tracing transactions, listening intently, staring obnoxiously, assuming intentions, speculating reasons, questioning antics, trodding tearfully and writing alone - spilling my own blood first, in hopes of sustaining life beyond.
"Snails" is that journal of that journey from there to here, sprinkled with honor, speckled with horror, spackled with hope.
About the Author
Stephen Wolfe, Jr. left a stuffed purple elephant in a vacant parking lot across from the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC. He successfully completed his bachelor's degree in nine years. He is meaner to himself than another has ever dared. He likes remembering things the way he remembers them; not necessarily the way they happened. He can close his eyes and see the moment - the car, the pavement - where he wished he ended. He pedaled over twenty five thousand miles in three years to get here. You're holding his journal.
