An intense epic abounds as Estaline Cassell moves away from all she knows for a teaching position at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Clues from God lead her to the Tree of Life, which, according to lore, may be the gateway to heaven. She has often felt ordinary, but once she learns to hear God, Essa finds herself on a scuba diving quest with her estranged sister, Camille, realizing people are not who you always judge them to be. With the help from her teaching assistant, a former student, and sister, she learns how to listen to God. God guides them on the adventure of their lives. Can Essa save the university’s botany program and take back Hawaiian land from developers? Will the Christian islanders keep their place to root? What she discovers at the Tree of Life will shake her understanding of Christian life. Teachers’ lesson plans and template are included. Discover the spiritual gifts as Shane explains the fruits and gifts of the spirit.
