“Here, somebody may say to you in the very near future…, take this, this will make you feel better,” and it does, it is so good, (you think at the time) to not feel the pain or hurt you are feeling…you hate your life for whatever reason, or you break your arm in an accident and the pain is killing you, or you can’t please your girl, or guy, or teacher, pressures build up! I need to get out of my head! And so you take that pill or shot, or drink, and it gives instant relief. “Ah, you think, now that’s what I’m talkin about” So you want more because you want that instant gratification again, but it doesn’t feel as good as the last time, so you take more, and more, or try something stronger, and stronger. You begin to mix drugs with alcohol, and take whatever is given to you because you want that ‘feeling’ again, and either you over dose and die, or suddenly you look around you as you are about to jump off a bridge, and you wonder, how did I get here, and there’s no going back…and you take the step into what you think will be heaven, or at least a place where you won’t feel any pain anymore…WRONG!!! You’re headed straight for hell, because taking your life is breaking one of God’s greatest commandments, murder. Or… its dark out and you’re alone with your favorite guy or gal, and your favorite music’s on, things are getting out of control, and you feel powerless to stop it, besides, it feels so good, what is happening to your body, you don’t want to stop… Sex feels good in the beginning, that’s how satan works, he brings you in with that fine feeling, that powerfully good sensation… Then he laughs at you when he’s succeeded in his quest to get you into hell with him, cause you find out your girlfriends pregnant, only she’s not your girlfriend anymore cause you’re going out with someone else now whom you really care about, and suddenly for the next 18 years you will be paying child support, and there goes your chances for a great future… or the girl who gets pregnant has an abortion not thinking of the pain the baby goes thru as it is being aborted, or even the fact that she is committing murder… Abortion stays with you for a life time in your mind, because whether it is legal or not, whether you have a choice as to what you do with your body or not, you’ll know in your heart that that you didn’t give your baby a choice…nobody stood up for he or she, you just flushed them. You will live with that choice for the rest of your life. Or, maybe the girl wanted to stay a virgin, but she gives in because it just FEELS so good...Sin starts out fun and FEELING really good because satan is DEVIOUS! REMEMBER THAT. It is a heavenly highway to hell. It’s all good, then it’s all messed up. Lives and families are ruined for a life time, all because of one bad choice that took only a second to make. But, there is hope..

About the Book
Ameura, a high school senior who is insecure, a little over weight and still a virgin, cannot believe that the king of popularity, Vincent Valmont, wants to date her. She is leary of his invitation, but accepts it with her guard up. Vincent on the other hand, had been praying for a girl with the special qualities Ameura doesn’t realize she has. It is not long before they fall in love and begin making plans for the future. But when Vincent is killed by a drunk driver on prom night, Ameura’s life begins spiraling downward into the depths of despair.
Ameura is hurled into a severe depression, and her doctor prescribes pills to alleviate her pain. Desperate to escape her grief, Ameura accepts a friend’s offer to try methamphetamine; it isn’t long before she finds herself selling her body on the street to fuel her addiction. Unknowingly she becomes addicted to them, wanting more and more. But when she accidentally overdoses, and collapses on the nasty bathroom floor of a gas station, Ameura is forced to face the deadly consequences of her choices.
Ameura’s Story, How she chose Life over Death is a poignant , inspiring tale of a teenager’s struggle with addiction as she is led on an incredible journey through loss, heartbreak, and forgiveness as she ultimately witnesses God’s love in the most miraculous of ways.
About the Author
Ms. Ingram was raised in Healdsburg, and raised her three daughters in Windsor, Ca. where she bought her first home. Because she dropped out of high school to get married, completing her education was very difficult; still, after that hurdle was jumped, she went on to procure her real estate license, working as a realtor off and on for over 25 years. Writing a book was one of Judy’s main goals in life, and she used some of her life experiences to obtain this goal. Although she never used Crystal meth herself, she knew people who did, and the horror of how their lives deteriorated so quickly and dramatically. She had a critical message to convey, so after she retired, she went back to college, and finally finished her book. She prays, and asks that you pray too, that her book might reach whomever God intends it for. Ms. Ingram now resides in Mt Shasta, Ca.
