Jack stood poised with his toes on the edge of the wharf and shuddered. A moment later the raven sounded one more raucous squawk and flew away, leaving him to wonder in desperation what to do next. Knowing he had failed miserably in his promise to retrieve the amulet, he solemnly made his way back down the wharf, lost in thought. He tried to imagine what Peter Bellamy would do in this situation. Peter had been one of Jack’s best friends in Weaverworld and had vowed to protect him for all time. Julia K. Rohan is a writer, composer, musician, and visual artist. She holds a degree in English Literature from Concordia University in Montreal. She and her husband reside in Montreal and in the Eastern Townships of Quebec with their adopted cat and dog. Weaverworld: Quest for the Eagle-eye Amulet is the sequel to Weaverworld: Grimsnipe’s Revenge (2012), her first novel.
