About the Book
From a small seed, I grow very big; Sometimes I get as big as a pig. I’m red and tasty as a snack. My seeds inside are white and black. What am I?
I don’t mean to make you cry, But something in me stings your eye. Some say I’m spicy, some say hot; As an ingredient, I’m used a lot. I’ll tell you this, my taste is strong; If you think I’m sweet, you’re very wrong! What am I?
From fruits and vegetables to elements of nature to ordinary objects, What Am I? introduces children to a variety of items through colorful photographs and rhyming poetry. In this playful picture book, author Sherrie White artfully weaves entertainment and education to take children on an adventure to guess what’s in the pictures and to solve the riddles.
Engaging and lively, What Am I? helps children explore and learn about the beauty that surrounds them every day.
