The Waiting Room describes a situation in which souls are held captive in a room until they receive an assignment. They are recycled into stressful stiuations which result in hidous deaths then they are brought into another room and the process repeats. The Poul of Souls idea was discussed in ancient times by Origen and others. As the story progresses prisioners discover their commonality and each holds a belief that the messenger who brings the assignment will eventually give them a prize which will allow their final death. Several religious ideas and a number of historical situations are interwoven into the plot. Each character reflects on his previous lives and we come to understand that the inevitability of death may come with more drama and pain that we may have imagined. Even more horrid is the possibility that death may be a gastly continium. None have ever seen the messenger but know him and realize that only he can bring them release through the final assisgnment .

The Waiting Room Cronicles offers an insightful look into the ancient concept of the Pool of Souls which illustrates the interplay of mythology, science and religion. About the Author
Perry L. Angle was a successful salesman, manager and stockbroker. He received his MBA from Auburn University. As an avid outdoorsman, he writes of his beloved South with humility and respect. The author of The Butterfly Transport and Prophet's Way is an accomplished champion of individual values. His unusual reflection of man in his existential response to stress is noteworthy. The author achieves a delicate balance in his use of science, philosophy and religion as he weaves portraits of man as he becomes despondent with each revelation of the difficulty of existence in a tumulteous world.
