A United State
A pinkish, purplish, pumpkin, peach powder-puff,
Fused gold and rusty amber with sandy, coral blush;
Merged dusty apricot, stardust and edible salmon,
Combined pale daffodil with fleshy persimmon.
A sort of terra cotta mingling with papaya flame,
Coalesce into a carroty, summer squash kind of name,
Describing the apricot melt in the pods of bittersweet,
Or maybe tangerine sawdust in the summer heat.

About the Author
Jennifer P. Lumley, currently an Author and Freelance Writer, has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Marymount College. She previously had a career as a Financial Advisor but had always written. She has also published two other books, Mind Shaper and Still Life. Jennifer has an adult daughter and has been a long time Westchester County, New York resident.
