Seasons Change

“Oh David……. David this is Tiffany. I am sorry I should not be calling you with my problems, but I couldn’t think of anyone else.” she said with a cry in her voice. “What’s wrong are you alright?” David said “It’s Jordan, he did not even open the letter, he just put return to sender on the envelope and mailed it back. How could he be so cruel.” She said crying out of control. “Hey I have about two hours before I have to start working again. Do you want me to come by to talk? David asked “If it’s not going to be any trouble.” Tiffany said holding back more tears. “Give me about twenty minutes and I will be right there. Keep your head up Tiffany, I will be right there.” David said hanging up the phone. Tiffany saw David’s car coming down the street, her heart started to race and her mind started to feel comfort as if she knew right away he would make her feel better just by being there. He pulls into the driveway and gets out of the car. “What no uniform today? How can you recruit if they can’t see how good they are going to look once they sign their name on the dotted line. All joking aside, thanks for coming, you don’t know how much this means to me.” Tiffany said looking down at the ground. “A woman crying is never a good or happy sound. Trust me, I heard my mother cry too many times and it was never anything good.” He said taking her head in his hands. “Now lets find a way to make those sad and hurt feelings go away. I do want to talk or just hear what you have to say or do you just want a hug? I am good at that too.” “Can I have all of the above, starting with a hug.” Tiffany said “A hug it is.” as David rapped his big strong arms around her delicate body with the smell of morning in her hair and blowing in the wind and dancing on his face. Arms had never felt so good, strong and comforting. She could have stayed in them forever if only she could or if only he would. “Tiffany there’s just something about you that I can’t get out of my mind. I was hoping that you would call, but I was going to leave that up to you to make that move. When I answered the phone and heard your voice on the other end, my heart went into my thought. All you had to do was just open the door and as you can see I am here, let me in. So he did not even open the envelope? There must be something more, something that you are not telling me. A man just does not walk away from all of this, and not even turn around for a second chance or even a second look. Tiffany tell me something. There just has to be something.” David said looking her in the eyes.
