A Brooklyn, New York native, Ms. Baird experienced the rich diversity of a multi-cultural community. That background, oft changing venues and love of animals provide the fodder for her stories. She is the author of Annie's Portion and resides on the Gulf Coast of Texas with an assortment of critters.
