Star swatted the pavement beads of water floated as gravity no longer applied; she touches one of the droplets’ of water. The droplet expands making a sphere of blue light that begun to change color before fading to ash. She stood on her feet and gazed at Hera, droplets of water burst in to ash shrouding Hera and village behind him.
Star wades through the ash and light to receive Hera’s hand, he begun to spin her in circles. The sky was now leaden making morning look like evening, Star laugh silently spinning in Hera’s arms. She was at peace; she didn’t want to leave his arms she wonder what he saw on his trip. Lulis hovered overhead shining through opaque sky of ash and lime-green radiation, she reaches her right hand into sky.
Radiation condenses around her hand, allowing her to move radiation into any position she wanted; Star waived her hand around her head letting lime-green energy float over her head like a halo. “Come on Star let’s enjoy this high before it fades.” Hera and Star ran through the ash kicking up clouds of dust laughing as the planet slowly dies around them. Hera waves his hands clearing the road of ash for them to sit; Star lies on hot pavement clearing her face of ash.
Hera dance around her swinging his arms in the air blue strings of light flowed freely from his hands, the energy slowly rained down turning red then into white before hitting the Ad’ Drin. Hera hit the ground sending the ash around them flying in the air. Ash fell back to the Ad’ Drin as flower petals, Star tried to imagine how they would smell if they were real.
She slowly rises to her feet and danced with Hera kicking up ash and creating more flower petals. Building begun collapse to their foundations with mutated plants growing in their stead; pillars of tentacles shot dozens of feet into the air screaming in pain at their sudden birth.
“GET DOWN STAR,” Hera slams Star on ashen pavement as two long lime-green bolts of plasma collided with Ad’ Drin. Pillars of sparks and ash elevated ten feet in the sky, Star slowly turn her head to a growling being on one of the mutated trees. The being looked like the one in Palis city, but larger, the being head was covered in glowing lime-green eyes with a mask covering it front eyes. Six long pylons grew from its back the crystal was opaque black with parasite swimming around white lights in the pylons.

It has been two years since a calamity brought planet Ad’ Drin’s empire to ashes under a shower of lime-green stew. Now all that remains is mutated wastelands, anarchy, and bands of survivors who can do nothing but helplessly watch as Ad’ Drin slowly dies. Nineteen-year-old Hera Kila’ Ka has made it his mission to warn others of the impending doom. As he attempts to convince the people to escape to the safety of the T' nian Isles before the tendrils from another lime-green cloud hit the ground, he encounters seventeen-year-old Star Cassidy, who begs him to lead her away from danger. With their city now destroyed, Hera takes it upon himself to protect Star. They begin a journey across the land in which they must battle mutant life forms intent on doing everything in their power to destroy not only them, but the rest of the galaxy. Now that the pair face a life-and-death struggle, things only become more complicated when Hera realizes he feels more for Star than he ever imagined. In a post-apocalyptic future world, chaos reigns as two unlikely partners race against time and determined enemies in order to save themselves and their world from annihilation.

We all know these are supposed to be in the third person, but it’s about me, so I’m writing the damn thing the way I see fit. No changes.
I was born on November 18, 1987, to Denise Garcia and Hector Jaime Herrera of Kingsville, Texas. I have a twin brother, Hector Caesar Herrera; an older sister, Soliel Leigh Pilgrim (deceased); another sister, Elasha Leigh Pilgrim; and a little brother, Juan Diego Herrera (deceased).
My twin brother and I joined the military shortly after high school in 2006, as did most of our friends. He went into the marines as I went into the army, where I still am today. I deployed to Afghanistan in October 2011, and I have had the time of my life. I have read twenty-eight books there, and I am an avionic mechanic. Aircraft are reliable when deployed but break more easily stateside.
A few months after I deployed in 2010, I heard an apocalyptic song and thought, Damn, that is a hell of a song. I want to write a book. So I did. I started this book, but downrange I started another before turning back to this book. I felt I should write the backstory before I started to write about the future.
I have already written a book of three morbid stories. The longest one falls into the backstory; the others are in the present time. I will publish them when I find them. I’m currently working on the second installment of the War of the Servers series. Servers is the second book. It will be out shortly after this one, and I will then work on the third book of the series. Then I can go back to the one I started downrange and continue the saga.
This is my first book, so bear with me on it. I wrote a book because I want to entertain folks with a story line I have had in the works since I graduated high school. So enjoy, and look for the other books in the War of the Servers series: How to Make a Zombie, Servers, War of the Servers, and The Four Emperors. ☺
