There is a need for a group for all the people who don’t have a group. We’ll call it The National Association of Americans Without a Group. That way, people who have been passed over for promotions, or raises, can file an action, based on the fact that they were discriminated against because they didn’t belong to a group. I believe that in a lot of companies, management has been forced to think in just those exact terms. All too often, competent employees, the people most qualified, are passed over, simply to avoid all the crap that companies get from those people who are represented by a group. Any group. I call it ‘Crap Management’. Some business managers believe that if they can manage their crap, keep the crap under control, they will be able to spend their time in a more productive manner, even though they just hired a stutterer to be an Air Traffic Controller on O’Hare’s busiest runway. Yes, they might be willing to risk human lives to avoid a bunch of sit down meetings with Stutterers of America. Imagine how long one of those meetings could last.

About the Author
G. David Howard is a stand-up comedian, actor, and songwriter who has made appearances on television as well as in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Florida. He has been listed in The Guinness Book of World Records for telling jokes continuously for sixteen hours straight. He and his wife, Dana, reside in Largo, Florida, and have four sons, five grandchildren, and a goddaughter.
