About the Author
Originally from New York, Daniel Kraus is a technologist, speaker, and author who has for many years worked towards a greater global understanding of Québec culture. Dan lived in several different parts of France during his education, studying classical French literature, and building an expertise in French prose and poetry. He received his Bachelors plus a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Fordham University in 1992. Dan moved to Québec in 1995, and spent over a decade exploring the Québec language and the culture, ultimately culminating in the first edition of Speak Québec in 2000. Dan today lives in Berlin (Germany), traveling frequently to Québec to keep up with changes and developments in the language.
