About the Book

Life is a journey filled with experiences, and these experiences are a result of our choices. Everybody occasionally makes unwise choices, which is totally acceptable. But when we do not learn from our mistakes or continue to repeat them, we can miss the boat and feel like failures; except failure is not an option! We must be determined to live life to the fullest, regardless of our present and past circumstances. In This Side of Forty, author Cathy Glen encourages us to not use age as a deterrent to setting and accomplishing personal and professional goals, and she challenges us to be open to new and fresh ideas—even if they are different than our own. This Side of Forty offers simple steps we can use to move toward a life of contentment instead of just sailing through life and blowing in the winds, wherever they take us. About the Author

Cathy Glen earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Columbia College in Chicago before going on to receive her master’s degree in biblical studies at Moody Theological Seminary, also in Chicago. In 2001 she was awarded with the Editor’s Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry from the International Library of Poetry. Cathy and her husband, Timothy, raised their two sons, one nephew and live in Chicago.
