About the Book
When he is found by his family, sixteen-year-old Alex McNaire is in a coma due to the storm that destroyed his family’s farmhouse, barn, and outbuildings. Found with him are twenty gold coins, worth a small fortune—and his family has no idea where it came from or what to do with it.
Before Alex wakes up, his grandfather is visited by a leprechaun named Roe, who asks the old man to pass a message to the boy, whom he says will soon wake up: Anton is safe; hold your tongue. When Alex does awaken, his adventures in the kingdom of Anton with Princess Dora seem like a dream. But when Roe, who is an envoy to the king, calls on him, Alex knows that what he experienced was real. Over the course of the next few months, Roe returns periodically, bringing news of the continuing war in Anton. When he tells Alex there may be a chance to return to the world of the leprechauns—and to see his beloved Princess Dora once more—the boy leaps at the chance. Will the danger of the war-torn kingdom threaten his life?
In this fantasy novel, the second in a series, a teenage boy who has traveled to an underground kingdom of leprechauns struggles to find his way back to that land and to the princess he loves.
