This book highlights the soulful heart and mind of Dr. Simmons. His poetry and proverbs ease into and embrace where we live in our daily lives. His poetry is thought-provoking and makes the reader consider things differently. He is one of Alabama’s major poets spewing out proverbial dialect to enhance the reading state of consciousness. There is no doubt that Dr. Simmons shall be remembered as one of our century’s greatest poets.

About the Author

Dr. Akeam A. Simmons is an accomplished writer. He has written 15 other books, including three of poetry-Black Tears, Riding On the Wind, and A Poet’s Heart. Dr. Simmons is currently the Senior pastor at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, where he has been serving for 14 years. Dr. Simmons has also written a number of novels and self help books. He and his wife Kimberly lives in Maylene Alabama.
