I see your hands, mother, I remember your tenderness The Novel, A Man with Seven Shadows, is a spy thriller rich in “black comic” maelstrom of incompetence, immorality, family rivalry, imperial ambition, lurid glamour, sexual excess, depraved sadism, and moments of romance, gloom, and doom. The European relevance has always consisted of historical times of blood and dying. The Novel focuses on the conditions of war and how it affects people through the prism of seven historical European-related Eras. The “dark aspects” of the intrigue by the powers of the US, EU, NATO, and Russia drop a large dark cloud on any peaceful resolution. Korka ancestors’ intelligence strategy to stir up the flames of war and economic discord for their profit and power continue in this former Russian territory. The fictional Korka Family emerges from the cold forest of Scandinavia and finds that the scarce land resources lead them to becoming not sea raiders, but raiders of the land. Each generation learns clandestine activities as family human intelligence agents to facilitate the gathering of intelligence information by other humans. What it all really comes down to is a term most often associated with magician’s misdirection. In each era, espionage, spy craft, and death become prevalent. The Novel traces the Korka ancestral family roots beginning with their historical journey through the seven portals of time as generational members of the Stone Age tribal ancestors begin from Neolithic times to the 2013 Ukraine Maidan anti-Russian Revolution. Members of the Korka Clan begin their warrior credentials by fighting the Mongols in 1237, as they watched their village burned and destroyed by the Mongol hordes. Over the seven Centuries, the Korka Clan experiences forced migration and slave labor to work communal agricultural lands, but they eventually resist and become foundational pillars of kingship. With the brutality of their historical roots, the family is threaded with rebellions against economic and religious exploitation. Thereafter, a family tradition emerges to engage in military espionage to gain economic and political security for their family. The reader will see slices of reality of how the family’s intelligence activities influenced the outcome of the Mongol Conquest Era, Napoleonic Wars, Crimean War, Russian Revolution, World War 1 on the battlefield of trenches, and World War ll with the Nazi invasion of the Korka’s family homeland in December 1941. The novel concludes with a present-day spy craft intrigue between Sergey Korka and the Interior Minister, Mykhailo Kliayav, and triggers the 2013-2014 city riots in Odessa and Kharkov Ukraine. The consequences of Sergey Korka’s spy craft results in the Russian annexation of Crimea, arming of the Donetsk and Lugansk militia population, and the Kiev military battles, which led to 10,000 killed in the eastern “Donbas Region”. The historical fictional novel explores the 2017-2018 great upheavals within the highest political pillars of Washington DC as the Korka family take a major effort to neutralize the existing “Deep State” and “Swamp”.
