About the Book

Dr. Trey Martinez, M.D. is elated when an elite hospital recruits him to head the South Texas division of Rio Grande Hospital's Obstetrics and Gynecology department, and relocate his practice to the southern tip of Texas. He would soon learn that life and death decisions are made daily with the influx of Mexican Nationals crossing the border with no previous medical care or prenatal care what so ever, which causes complete havoc on the local doctors and medical staff caring for these patients. Rio Grande Hospital is located just ten miles from the border and is one of the biggest hospitals in the area. Trey is shaken when he could not save the life of one of his patients over simple medical care which could have prevented her death and the death of her child. When Trey investigated the situation further it reveals a terrible discovery, his patient is the wife of the leader of the largest cartel located here in South Texas as well as Mexico. Trey will soon find out just how dangerous it is to practice medicine in the valley of Texas, nicknamed Death Valley of Texas. When two worlds collide in the Southern tip of Texas, he learns very quickly just how cruel, evil and far the arms of the cartel can reach to take revenge on anyone they feel has wronged them and how they take great pleasure in evening the score.
