This is a book of meditations/sermons of mine in German translated into English.

About the Author

Frederick Richard Trost was born on December 30, 1935 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Following graduation from the University of Michigan and Yale Divinity School and theological studies at Heidelberg University in Germany, he was called to Saint Pauls United Church of Christ in Chicago where he served for nineteen years. In 1981, he accepted a call to give theological and pastoral leadership to the Wisconsin Conference of the UCC. He has authored and edited a number of books and theological journals including “We Know Only in Part: Reflections on a Journey in Faith,” “Oratio: A Book of Prayers for the Church Year,” “On The Way: The Teaching Church,” and “The Evangelical Catechism: A New Translation for the Twenty-first Century.” With Barbara Brown Zikmund, he co-edited “United and Uniting: The Living Theological Heritage of the United Church of Christ.” He was the founder of the Biblical, Theological and Liturgical Fellowship of the UCC, and co-founder of the New Mercersburg Society, the Craigville Colloquies and the Confessing Christ Project. For many years, he served as Secretary of the UCC-EKU Working Group which developed “Full Communion” between the United Church of Christ and the Evangelical Church of the Union in East and West Germany. He and his wife, Louise Herrman Trost, live in retirement in Wisconsin, the parents of five children, Marianne McRoberts, Margaret Louise, Christine Marie, Paul Gerhardt and Sarah Estelle Trost.
