About the Book
A collection of previously printed volumes, 5 Octavos includes The Very Last Dragon, a musical comedy for children about preserving wildlife habitat; The Death of Rumpelstiltskin, a treatise exploring the historical and contemporary significance of the Grimms’ story; Cornfield with Crows, a true story from childhood; and the liner notes and lyrics from the author’s Anthology of New York State Folk Music. Interspersed with poems and illustrated throughout with drawings, photographs, and paintings, 5 Octavos is an entertaining miscellany of poetry, playwriting, and prose.
