Author Sherita Brown describes three Colorado grandmothers—herself among them—who have stood in the gap for one another, helping raise their grandchildren together. About the Author

Sherita Brown is a medical assistant, illustrator, and author. She holds an associate’s degree in medical specialties and has worked in a pediatric medical department for twenty years. She enjoys music, dance, travel, and poetry, and she currently lives in Colorado.
