About the Author
Stephen Abramowitz was an educator for the New York City Board of Education for more than thirty-five years—a teacher, a vice principal, and the director of a substance abuse prevention program. He worked with inner-city children and their siblings and parents. He served as a consultant for a drug prevention program at Rutgers University. Mr. Abramowitz earned three master’s degrees in different fields of education. While heading the drug prevention program, he wrote a curriculum to make young children aware of dangerous drugs and substances found in the home.
