About the Book
What do a winsome young history teacher, a laconic hitchhiker, a shy widow in a bowling league and a night janitor in a law firm have in common? These stories explore the lingering truth that our perceptions sometimes obscure an underlying and starkly different reality. The short fiction also presents daring visions of our future, including the end of racism, the abolition of retirement and the rise of the androids. Additionally, this volume features a selection of the author’s poetry and a dream gallery that spans genres ranging from suspense to social commentary to humor and chilling dystopian scenarios.
