About the Author

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, poetry has been a constant passion to portray my inner most thoughts. This journey began back at Southwestern High School, where my English teacher nurtured my creative imagination. This journey continued through college at Morgan State University with professors, who had an impressionable influence, to my twenty-plus years in the information technology community. This inner self has been shaped and molded by many individuals, including family, teachers, friends, colleagues, and, foremost, God Almighty. This collection of poems represents the essence of one man?s journey through life. Readers will note that the poetic styles vary, and rightfully so since I have been influenced by traditional as well as contemporary forms of poetry. This book is dedicated to my parents, Joseph and Virginia Green, for providing me with the life and the guidance to walk successfully through this life?s passage.
