About the Book
The Comprehensive Examination represents the culminating examination after successful completion of the core courses in the Ph.D. program at Capella University in the School of Business. The Comprehensive Examination (Comps) must be successfully completed prior to beginning the dissertation work.
The Comps are defined by four questions and responses on research methodology and theory application and practice. The areas of focus in this examination are (a) research methodology of Adams' Equity Theory; (b) the examination of Meyer and Allen's three-component model of organizational commitment; (c) the evaluation of the current nursing shortage; and (d) a temporal synthesis of organizational commitment.
About the Author
Thomas E. Young, M.D., is an Interventional Cardiologist in Dothan, Alabama. He received his M.B.A. at Auburn University and currently is completing his Ph.D. in Management at Capella University. He lives in southern Alabama, where he enjoys golf, reading, and playing the cello.
