About the Book

The poetry in this collection is principally concerned with romance, magic, and philosophical matters. There is sadness and humor, which frequently go hand in hand. Life consists of a rainbow of colors, with ever changing patterns. These poems include traditional rhymed couplets in iambic pentameter (Merlin’s Mystic Passion), as well as modern free verse (Houdini Cantos). Essentially, a wide variety of metrics and styles are utilized.

About the Author

Don Beach holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts in English from the University of California at Los Angeles and California State University at Los Angeles, respectively. Besides being a poet, he is also a novelist. He is a magician member of the Hollywood Magic Castle.
