About the Book
Based on a review of recent scholarly literature on family structure, this report examines how the recent changes in family structure and the evolution of 'alternative' family structures have affected children. Examined are the overviews of the impact of divorce, re-marriage and the step family, the single parent family,racial differences in the family, gay and lesbian family structures, and the impact of daycare.
About the Author
Miss Nelson is currently a Family Psychology student at Capella University. She has authored three books: Swallowing Jewels; Musings of a Mad Madam; and The Split Brain: An Analysis of Schizophrenia. She has accomplished further research on the impact of schizophrenia on the family unit and African Americans and schizophrenia. She hopes to continue her research in the future at a PhD level.
